Based in Swindon - we set up in 1985, providing Tax and Accountancy services for local businesses. We continue to do this - working with all kinds of businesses to give them cost effective Tax and Accountancy advice - while helping them to grow.
Since 1995 we have also worked with Freelance Contractors who are based throughout the UK and are from all industry sectors. We have a wealth of experience in all aspects of this specialist area, including IR35. To date we have never lost any challenge by HM Revenue & Customs that we have defended.
In 2007 we became Chartered Accountants and in February 2010 we partnered with Business and Personal Investments Ltd of High Wycombe to form AMS Investments and Pensions Ltd. We are very pleased to be working with Peter Fulcher who leads the investments team.
Peter Bromiley ACA
Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990. He worked for 2 practices before joining Critchleys in 1995 as Audit Senior and then Audit Manager.
Peter has a variety of experience in all aspects of small/medium-sized businesses from Sub-contractor builders, through local businesses such as pubs, shops, small manufacturing businesses to acting for professionals such as Doctors, Consultants and Solicitors. He has also managed auditing teams for larger businesses. He joined AMS in 2000.
Barbara French Chart.MCIPD
Previously Managing Director of CTA Ltd. providing professional training in the Construction industry throughout the UK. She joined AMS in 2002 after working with the company as an independent consultant. Her stated personal mission is to create the most practical and informative service possible.
Ian Bell LL.B
Founder and currently Management Consultant to the company. Ian started the business in 1985. Prior to this he was a tax inspector for 10 years. He now specialises in management accounts and business advice. When necessary he acts for clients in HM Revenue & Customs investigations.
Peter Fulcher Cert PFS
Peter has worked in the financial services industry since 1987 giving him over 20 years' experience of advising individual and businesses on their financial planning requirements. He formed Business & Personal Investments Ltd in 1998. In 2010, together with AMS Accountancy Ltd, AMS Investments and Pensions Ltd was formed. Peter is committed to remaining a 'whole market' advisor. He ensures that all his support and administration colleagues undertake regular training.
